I Love Theme Wedding Favors!

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

I love attending a theme wedding. They can be so much fun. Last weekend I went to a fantastic wedding and reception. It was all done in a country western motif.
They chose a small country church to hold the wedding ceremony. They had satin bows and ribbon to decorate the pews and beautiful flower arrangements with candles all around the altar. With the flowered hair pieces and the lovely baby blue dresses the bridesmaids and flower girl looked spectacular. The little ring boy was adorable in his little tux, and the groomsmen were very handsome in theirs, with the white boutonnieres in the lapels. But nothing could compare to the elegance of the bride and groom. They made such a handsome couple. A horse drawn buggy awaited to take the bride and groom to the reception.
Since they chose a ranch to buy as their first home, they thought that would be the perfect place to hold the reception. It was a lovely home with a couple of acres and a barn for their horses they planned on having. I would have loved to have started my married life out in a place like this.
She did a fantastic job arranging her reception. It was spectacular. All the tables had red and white checkered table cloths, with little metal buckets of wildflowers in them. Her choice of wedding themes and country decorations was so fantastic. There were strings of white christmas lights all around the picnic tables, with a few old fashioned lanterns here and there. There were bales of hay stacked here and there with corn stalks on the barn doors. They made sure there were plenty of things the kids would enjoy as well as the adults. There were horse shoes, bobbing for apples, and barn dancing. It was great fun for everyone.
Their country western wedding cake topper was very comical and the cake itself was a masterpiece of confection. It was the perfect novelty topper. I wish I knew where she got those adorable country themed champagne flutes. And she made place card holders out of these little cowboy hats. That was such a unique idea.
There were so many delicious dishes served at the reception. Since this was more like a country barbecue, there was plenty choices of meats, salads and vegetables. There was more than enough to eat. The fun never stopped, we danced, ate great foods, and had a fantastic time. The country western theme was a blast.
There was another themed reception I went to that was also a lot of fun, it was a beach themed reception. The beauty of a beach wedding is just amazing. It’s so romantic with the sunset above the ocean. It’s like a romantic novel with the crashing of waves and the warm gentle breeze all around you. On my wedding day, I want to have a wedding ceremony just like this one.
It was such a relaxed ceremony, with all wedding party and beautiful summer dresses and beach wear. Her gorgeous crepe bridal dress was as blue as the ocean waters, and his white linen attire made him even more handsome than he already was. The whole ceremony was absolute perfection, just like dream.
The reception was something special too. Everything for her table décor had something to do with the oceanside. She had a wonderful idea for centerpieces, with seashells, starfish and orchids surrounding two large white candles in a tray of sand. Her crystal champagne glasses had beach themed stems and her place card holders were little seashells.
She had everything in a beautiful beach décor, from her wedding cake topper to the wonderful theme wedding decorations she had put together. This was one of the most memorable weddings I’ve ever attended.

The Search For Summer Wedding Ideas!

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

It was a lot easier than I thought it would be to plan my outside wedding and reception. In fact, it didn’t cost as much as an indoor wedding would have cost us. Since we had the flowers and mother nature everywhere, I didn’t have to spend a lot of money on decorations. The first thing I had to do was to find the perfect location to have our summer wedding and reception. Instead of having our wedding ceremony and reception on the beach or in a garden, I chose to have it in the park. I found several perfect parks that would work fine for our wedding day.

Since I never planned a wedding like this before, I needed all the help I could get. I found out you need to have a plan B, in case inclement weather unexpectly arises. It’s a good idea to have a tent ready to continue your ceremony if it becomes necessary.

In our original wedding preparations, we had a lovely canopy set up for the reception and a lovely trellis for our ceremony. I only had to get decorations for my bridal table and the reception tables for our friends and family. With the park as our main theme, I basically had to make sure I had our table settings and maybe throw in a few extra bouquets of flowers. I thought artificial flowers would be best, since we didn’t want a bee invasion ruining our ceremony. The only way you could tell that the flowers were artificial, was by touch, they were beautiful. Planning this wedding wasn’t all that hard, but there was a little more than I expected. Like, making sure there were citronella candles all around, rest rooms close by and making sure our cake was kept cool until ready to be cut.

I found quite a few terrific accessories that I could use for the reception. I had little park bench place card holders at each table setting, and little citronella votive candles in glass globes with a nice flower arrangement as our centerpieces. For each of our guests there were beautiful chrome bottle openers in lovely designed favor boxes, as a summer wedding theme. One of the most decorative things on our wedding table was our gorgeous wedding cake with the beautiful cake topper I ordered.

I found it while browsing online for my other wedding accessories, and fell in love with it. They do customizing for the bride and groom. They put our faces on our cake topper, and all I had to do was send them a photo of me and my fiance. What a wonderful momento of our wedding day. Everyone at the reception had something to say about how unique it was. All the wonderful accessories I ordered for our reception and wedding ceremony came from the same place, including our champagne flutes and silver cake set. You wouldn’t believe all the nice accessories you can buy online.

It was the perfect wedding and reception, just like I had hoped for. Thank goodness the weather stayed perfect throughout the entire ceremony and reception and we never had to put plan B into action. The DJ we hired was really exceptional and I’m sure that the music played on long after my new husband and I left for our honeymoon. Everyone commented on what a lovely ceremony and super reception we had. I couldn’t have picked a better place than the park for our wedding ceremony and reception party. If we celebrate one of our anniversaries with a wedding renewal, I want to have it in a gorgeous park again.

The Perfect Wedding Photo Album!

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

I started shopping for my themed accessories and supplies as soon as we were sure we were having a beach wedding. First things first, I bought our beach themed wedding invitations. One thing I discovered was to be sure you always buy extra invitations, just in case you make a mistake and have yourself a do over, like I did. After I got the invitations out of the way, my next step was finding the right dress for a beach wedding. With all the selections of beautiful beach dresses and wedding gowns, I had a difficult time deciding what I wanted to wear. I was unsure about the two full length wedding gowns I found, I didn’t want to be uncomfortable at my beach wedding. I found a beautiful beaded knee length dress made of light weight materials of satin and lace, with spaghetti straps for my wedding.

My bridesmaids looked so lovely in their haltered beach dresses of cool linen with a crocheted bodice. My fiance’s wedding attire consisted of a blue shirt and white pants made of linen, and his groomsmen were also dressed in linen, with white shirts and sandy colored pants. Our flower girl wore an adorable little sundress and the ringboy stayed nice and cool in his little khaki shorts and white cotton shirt. I found the most lovely flower bouquets for the bridesmaids and myself, and the entire wedding party looked absolutely perfect.

I wish now, with all the photos of our wedding being taken, that I would have bought two personalized wedding albums, instead of only one. I want pictures of everything and everyone at our wedding, all the gorgeous decorations, and our lovely reception. I was sure to let the photographer know I wanted plenty of photos of our vow exchange under our satin canopy and lovely flowered arch. When the ceremony was over, my new husband and I went to our hotel room to change into some more comfortable beach outfits. Although a few of our wedding party went home to change into their beach clothes, there were some that decided to just wear their swimsuits under their wedding clothes. I wrote on all the invitations to dress in casual clothing for this wedding.

Our reception was such a big success, and everyone complimented us on our gorgeous wedding accessories and how lovely all of our tables were. I bought everything for our tables at the same place I bought our lovely beach themed wedding album. The little beach chairs I found worked out perfectly as place card holders and they made great little picture frames too. I really liked them and I’m sure our guests did too. They also had beach wedding favors that I just had to have for our guests. The little tea lights I chose were in the shape of miniature sand castles and to help them keep the memory of our wonderful beach reception. There was so many terrific accessories and beach décor for our reception tables and our wedding table. They had the perfect crystal stemware, serving set for the wedding cake, wine glasses and a gorgeous beach themed cake topper.

There were a lot of nice comments made by our guests on how lovely everything looked. To help add to the atmosphere, I also bought some of their beautiful gel candles and placed them on all the tables, along with a few tiki torches here and there. With all the accessories and supplies for the wedding and beach party reception, it made planning so much easier. Everything was like a dream come true, with the beautiful ocean waves and the warm summer sands as our wedding chapel and reception location.

Now I can look through our special beach leather wedding photo album and enjoy that day once again.

The Perfect The Wedding Album!

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

After it was decided that we were going to have a beach wedding, I went shopping for accessories and supplies with a beach theme in mind. I started with our beach themed wedding invitations. One thing I discovered was to be sure you always buy extra invitations, just in case you make a mistake and have yourself a do over, like I did. Now that the invitations were in the mail, it was time to find my beautiful beach wedding dress. There were so many options for beach wedding dresses and gowns, that it was a tough decision to make. I fell in love with two of the floor length gowns, but wasn’t quite sure if it would be uncomfortable to wear to a beach wedding. I picked out a gorgeous spaghetti strapped dress made of satin and lace with beautiful little beads scattered around it, in a knee length.

My bridesmaids looked so lovely in their haltered beach dresses of cool linen with a crocheted bodice. All the groomsmen wore linen white shirts and sand colored pants and my husband, to be looked so handsome in his blue linen shirt and white pants. The little ring boy wore a white cotton shirt and khaki shorts, and our flower girl was so cute in a light fabric sundress. All of the wedding party looked great in their wedding attire and the flower arrangements for our bouquets were the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen.

I kept thinking how I should have bought two leather wedding albums, because I wanted lots of pictures of our wonderful beach wedding and reception. I planned to have pictures of all the fantastic decorations at our wedding and reception and photos of every guest that attended. I was sure to let the photographer know I wanted plenty of photos of our vow exchange under our satin canopy and lovely flowered arch. Directly after the ceremony we left to change into more suitable beach wear for the reception party. Although a few of our wedding party went home to change into their beach clothes, there were some that decided to just wear their swimsuits under their wedding clothes. The guests were informed on the invitations to wear casual clothing.

Our guests seemed impressed with the wedding accessories for our reception tables that were done in a beach themed décor.

I added some tiki torches everywhere and put gel candles on all of our guests wedding reception tables to help add a touch of atmosphere to everything. Planning this beach wedding and reception was a lot easier than I thought it would be, with all the accessories and supplies they had. It couldn’t have been a more perfect dream wedding and reception, with the gorgeous ocean as our background and the warm sand under our feet.

Now I sit here and relive that wonderful day by enjoying all the photos I have in our beautiful beach the wedding album.

I’m in love with these new wedding favors!

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

Things sure have changed since my wedding day, especially the fantastic accessories and reception supplies available. I found so many different decorations and every kind of embellishment you could think of on the internet. Beach party weddings can be one of the most fantastic ceremonies with seashells and starfish to help decorate with. They have summer and spring designs to choose from that are just awesome. I found very exceptional new wedding selections for seasonal ceremonies. The season that was amazing was the winter season because of all the Christmas colors and decorations you can add to your reception. You would be surprised how many people have weddings in the winter and have it outside. To me having a wedding in the winter outside would be a beautiful site to see and yet a little way out of the norm. I think I would be just fine with an indoor winter wedding and reception. Maybe a ski resort would be a good place for a winter wedding, with all the fireplaces and cozy winter atmosphere.

There were also quite a bit to choose from for autumn weddings too, which is really my favorite time of the year. Autumn is the best season for me and the best time to have a wedding, with it’s colorful background as your main motif. My wedding day was so long ago that the choices we had were being married in the church or running away and getting married. Times have changed so much that you can plan your wedding day to be what you want it to be. There are even destination weddings, where you have a few close friends and family go along to the location of your choice for you ceremony. It seems like a great way to escape for all the friends and family. You can find a new wedding for all your wedding planning from a customary wedding to an out of town wedding

My daughter is getting married in two months and I’m helping her to plan the whole thing and she has decided to have a country western ceremony and reception. When she told me her idea for the wedding, I thought oh boy this is going to be one weird wedding, but as we were planning it I saw how awesome it was going to be. My daughter found all the western accessories to plan her wedding and make it a success. They looked stylished and fashionable. To make the atmosphere more western she put some hay bales, set up barbecue grills around and even hired a country western band. For the reception, she is going to put lights and lanterns all over. Also she purchased centerpieces and name card holders that are western style. To my surprise they planned to rent a western ranch for the wedding. She ordered quite a few wedding accessories online that will go perfectly with the country western theme. She bought bride and groom cowboy hats there for her and her fiance and the cutest little new wedding favors for each of their guests.

It’s looks like when this is finished being planned, that it will be a big family barbecue with dear friends. I know it will be a lot of fun and enjoyment for everybody. They even planned to have some country western line dancing in the barn. After hearing all this I knew I had to go to the store and get blue jeans, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat so that I could join in the fun and excitement. Everybody will always remember this wedding. With our anniversary coming up soon, I may take my daughters idea and have a country western renewal ceremony and reception.

Finding the right summer wedding themes!

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

Planning an outside wedding wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. It wasn’t as expensive as an indoor wedding would have been. Since we had the beauty of nature all around us, it wasn’t too expensive to decorate. The first thing on my agenda was to find that perfect place to hold our summer wedding and reception party. I thought about a super beach wedding and reception, or maybe have it in a gorgeous garden, but I decided to have our ceremony and reception in the park. I found there were several great locations that would work out perfectly for an outdoor wedding.

I decided to go online and get some expert advice on how to plan the perfect outdoor wedding. When you plan to be married in the great outdoors, it seems you have to have a backup plan just in case the weather turns from sunny to pouring buckets. A tent was suggested just in case the weather turns out badly.

By using artificial flowers I thought we may be able to avoid any univited guests, like bees. The only way you could tell that the flowers were artificial, was by touch, they were beautiful. Planning this wedding wasn’t all that hard, but there was a little more than I expected. You want to make sure you have plenty of citronella candles scattered about, and that the rest rooms are within walking distance, and make sure your frosting on your cake doesn’t melt in the heat.

There was a variety of accessories available for the outdoor reception. As centerpieces for our reception tables I used citronella votive candles and place them in glass globes with flowers around them, and used park bench place card holders for each guest. For each of our guests there were beautiful chrome bottle openers in lovely designed favor boxes, as a summer wedding theme. One of the most decorative things on our wedding table was our gorgeous wedding cake with the beautiful cake topper I ordered.

I saw this cake topper when I was checking out all the wedding accessories they had to offer, and I knew this was the topper I wanted. They do customizing for the bride and groom. They put our faces on our cake topper, and all I had to do was send them a photo of me and my fiance. What a wonderful momento of our wedding day. Our friends and family were really loved the cake topper and gave us a lot of compliments on it. All the wonderful accessories I ordered for our reception and wedding ceremony came from the same place, including our champagne flutes and silver cake set. You wouldn’t believe all the nice accessories you can buy online.

Well, the wedding was beautiful and the reception was just as perfect. Thank goodness the weather stayed perfect throughout the entire ceremony and reception and we never had to put plan B into action. We had a wonderful DJ that I’m sure, kept the music going long after we left for our honeymoon. A lot of good things were said about our wedding ceremony and everyone said they had a fantastic time at the reception. I couldn’t have picked a better place than the park for our wedding ceremony and reception party. I’d love to do this again and have a wedding renewal in the park, maybe for an anniversary, someday.

An AMAZING Graduation Party Invitation!

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

I’m giving my best friend a bridal shower and before I even got started I sat down and made a list of all the things I needed to buy for the party. The first priority was finding a graduation party invitation. Dragging myself from shop to shop hoping to find a good deal or a decent selection isn’t my idea of a good time, so I went searching for supplies online. Boy, did I luck out in that department. I was really surprised to find so much and at such great prices. The price I paid on some things were almost criminal. The script on the party invitations was silver, and the edges were pearl; they looked exquisite. They had all kinds of invitation cards, from general party invitations to specific ones, like graduation party invitations.
I found some darling place card holders for the party as well, among other things. Another item I picked out for the bride was a sign-in book for guests so that she could keep track of who gave her what gifts easily. One style of place card holders caught my fancy. They had these little plastic handbags that I filled with colorful little candies and found place cards with pink lilies printed on them. They looked so nice on the party tables along with the decorations and party favors I chose for everyone. There’s no type of party that doesn’t have a gift box designed for it. I chose little floral patterned boxes which I stacked on a cake plate in layers and sat on the gift table. It looked very decorative like that and each lady just took a gift from the plate. I settled on manicure kits for our thank you gifts, and then I got a few more things to be handed out to the winners of the contests that we were going to hold. I found some random things to hand out as awards, such as unique key rings, little vanity mirrors, and special soaps.
I went online and got some great game ideas for the party too. If you want to see something humorous, try playing ‘Take It Off,” a game where you have to but a bag on your head and then, when the person running the game tells you to take off one piece of clothing, you have to take one off – and it’s astonishing how many women don’t have it come to mind that they ought to take off the bag. That is a funny experience you’ll never forget. There are other mirthful games that we did, like bridal bingo. I’m so glad I thought to browse the internet, else wise I wouldn’t have gotten such great deals and accessories. I made out alright purchasing my favors and invitations from them. The things I purchased were well made, and I spent a lot whole less than I thought I would have to, and had a whole lot more choices. This site I found also has wedding invitations and favors, so I made it a point to inform my friend who was getting married about it, since I was sure she would want to know about this place. Getting her things for the wedding here will save her money and give her some great ideas to work with. I know it helped to make this bridal shower a success. The bridal shower was a sensation, and everyone there liked their shower favors, too. Now that the party is over, I’m filling out the guest thank you cards thanking them for attending. Which, by the way, I also ordered online. Now I have to go back online because I’m helping my friend plan her sons’ birthday party and they have quite a bit to offer there too.

Making the right choice when it comes to wedding gift boxes

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

I put a lot of thought about the theme for our wedding ceremony and reception. I liked the idea of a beach wedding, but a garden wedding or country western theme sounded pretty great too. But I also considered having a traditional wedding. Destination weddings also sounds like a great idea. How great would it be to have a ceremony and reception in Las Vegas, or maybe take it all the way to Hawaii? The islands of Hawaii would definitely be my first choice. But I had to give that plan up, too many people wouldn’t be able to travel that far.
There were other ideas too, like a gorgeous winter theme ceremony. But since we were getting married in the summer months, I didn’t think I should go with a snow scene. I decided to go with the last, but not least of the wedding theme ideas, and have a fairy tale ceremony and reception. There were plenty of fairy tale accessories and ideas to work with for the perfect story book wedding. The bakery even had wedding cakes that worked out with my idea. So this was final. Cinderella and Prince Charming were getting married.
Through online shopping I found lovely story book invitations. Then I started choosing my wedding and reception accessories and supplies. I bought the most beautiful wedding gown I could find at the bridal shop and had my bridesmaids and little flower girl in exquisite floor length dresses, all with tiaras. All of the groomsmen and the ring boy looked so handsome in their tuxes, but the best looking one of all, was my regal prince. When I walked down the aisle towards my husband to be I really felt like I was royalty. Our wedding ceremony was more beautiful than I could have hoped for. The flowers, the candles, and the gorgeous satin bows on the end of the pews really set the whole thing off. After the ceremony everyone started shouting and throwing red and white rose petals our way. Instead of a limo, we had a horse drawn carriage waiting outside.
There were accessories that helped me to make our reception appear as elegant as a king’s castle. I found everything to fit the ocassion from decorations to wedding favors. I even found the perfect favor boxes to put each themed wedding party favor in for our guests. There were so many accessories to choose from to help with our storybook reception. I bought little coaches that made perfect place card holders, and exquisite champagne flutes with a storybook design. They had everything imaginable for a storybook wedding and reception.
Everyone had a fabulous time and I received a lot of compliments on the décor. One of our guests stated that she’d never seen such a gorgeous ceremony as ours. I know I was impressed and it was my wedding. I’m so glad that I chose this theme and found so many accessories to help me make it happen. Since this was a special day in my life, I wanted everything to be special. Everything at our reception was in a fairytale theme, even our cake, so I wanted themed wedding favor ideas too. I wanted our guests to leave with something that would remind them of this special day. I wanted to give them something they would look back on with fond memories.
I had a lot of thank you note to take care of when we got back from our honeymoon. Believe it or not, I was able to get thank you notes with a fairytale theme. I wouldn’t mind having a fairytale anniversary renewal ceremony.
