We picked January for the wedding day since I have always wanted a wedding that had a winter motif. A wedding built around snow and ice can be wonderful, and there are plenty of items you can obtain to make it happen. Our wedding ceremony color scheme was in silver and wintery blue. The unity candle was surrounded by other candles with a winter style to them, along with simulated snowflakes on the altar. The white tableclothes at our reception looked lovely next to the red table runners on each table. I had beautiful white orchids in gorgeous silver vases for our centerpieces and they went so well with the winter décor. I ran across some snowball ornament place card holders, and I used those for the reception. Not only are they beautiful card holders but they are awesome little ornaments as well. To express our gratitiude for their coming to our special day, we got our relatives and other loved ones champagne bottles favors and matching toasting flutes. champagne toasting glasses make great little thank you gifts. Our reception hall called to mind a scene of freshly-fallen snow in the middle of winter. Our three tiered wedding cake sat on a unique little sled designed cake stand and had a topper that was a porcelain snowflake to complete our winter wedding cake. I picked out the cake serving set on the net, and it had wintery designs on it, too. Small snowflakes in shades of blue and white were on the handles. Perfect for our themed reception and the handles matched with the winter wedding guestbook and pen I picked out.
The handles on the toasting flute matched the sign in book and cake serving set we had, all with winter designs. They had the little snowflakes and were done in white and icy blue colors and were really exquisite with all the other winter themed accessories on our wedding table. Actually all the tables were exquisite and our guests were very happy with the wedding favors and place card holders they got to take home with them. We got our flower girl a necklace and we we let her keep the small crown she wore in the ceremony, and she was pleased with both of them. Our ring bearer was excited because he got his own tee shirt and a yo-yo made of stainless steel. I got my maid of honor a bracelet made of crystal, and all of my bridesmaids received tank tops with their names written on them in small crystals. My fiance took care of shopping for the guys. He bought a best man mug and a neat pen set for the best man, and everyone else received a battery-operated digital clock. I could tell that all of our friends and family were having a fantastic time at the reception and they all seemed to like the little favors and gifts we bought for them.
The products I discovered on the Internet made our wedding day everything I dreamed it could be. We also saved a little money by shopping online, with all the discounts and wholesale items they had to choose from. I found supplies for both the wedding and the honeymoon online. We got a ‘Do Not Disturb’ pillow to hang on our doorknob, along with hats and shirts for newlyweds. We got plenty of use out of that pillow.
