After it was decided that we were going to have a beach wedding, I went shopping for accessories and supplies with a beach theme in mind. The first thing to get was the invitations for our beach themed wedding. Since I had a couple of invitations I had to do over again, I was really glad I bought extra. With the invitations all done and on their way to our prospective guests, I could move on to picking out the beach wedding dress I wanted for our ceremony. There were so many options for beach wedding dresses and gowns, that it was a tough decision to make. I was unsure about the two full length wedding gowns I found, I didn’t want to be uncomfortable at my beach wedding. I picked out a gorgeous spaghetti strapped dress made of satin and lace with beautiful little beads scattered around it, in a knee length.
My bridesmaids looked so lovely in their haltered beach dresses of cool linen with a crocheted bodice. My handsome groom wore a sky blue linen shirt and white linen pants and his groomsmen wore white linen shirts with sand colored linen pants. Our flower girl wore an adorable little sundress and the ringboy stayed nice and cool in his little khaki shorts and white cotton shirt. Everyone in the wedding party looked fantastic and the bouquets were absolutely the most beautiful arrangements I could have found.
I wish now,with all the photos of our wedding being taken, that I would have bought two personalized wedding albums, instead of only one. I want pictures of everything and everyone at our wedding, all the gorgeous decorations, and our lovely reception. I especially wanted photos of us taking our vows under the beautiful flowered arch and satin canopy we had put up. When the ceremony was over, my new husband and I went to our hotel room to change into some more comfortable beach outfits. Some of the bridesmaids and groomsmen wore their swim wear under their wedding clothes, and some went home to change. We told all of our guests to dress casually.
Our guests seemed impressed with the wedding accessories for our reception tables that were done in a beach themed décor. The place I shopped not only had the beach wedding album I wanted, but so many more accessories to go with it. The place card holders I chose were these miniature beach chairs that can later be used as photo frames. I really liked them and I’m sure our guests did too. They also had beach wedding favors that I just had to have for our guests. The little tea lights I chose were in the shape of miniature sand castles and to help them keep the memory of our wonderful beach reception. I found quite a bit of accessories and decorations for our beach themed reception tables and the bride and groom table as well. I not only bought our beach themed wedding cake topper there, but also the cake knife server set, beautiful crystal champagne glasses and lovely wine glasses too.
There were a lot of nice comments made by our guests on how lovely everything looked. I added some tiki torches everywhere and put gel candles on all of our guests wedding reception tables to help add a touch of atmosphere to everything. With all the accessories and supplies for the wedding and beach party reception, it made planning so much easier. Everything was like a dream come true, with the beautiful ocean waves and the warm summer sands as our wedding chapel and reception location.
Every once in a while I take out our beach themed professional wedding album and remember our special day.
